Afreet Boss Preview: Gravity Attacks and Style Choices
Prepare for Afreet in the First Bite demo with practical Style pairings and the gravity attacks worth watching first.
The quick plan
Afreet is one of the two named bosses in the First Bite demo. Go in with a way to reposition quickly, keep a heavier option ready for clear recovery windows, and spend the first attempt learning what its gravity attack does to the arena.
Its lore is suitably excessive: afreets earned KOM’s trust by drinking the flames of hell, leaving them with heat that burns from within. Their rank also gives them access to advanced Overtech, including the gravity-control system used in this fight.
Style pairings shown so far
GPTRACK50 has demonstrated the encounter with Snow Fairy and Cyclops. Snow Fairy provides mobile ice-based attacks; Cyclops is the heavier bruiser with a large club. Separate footage shown to press used Harpy and Werewolf instead.
The useful takeaway is that Afreet does not appear to demand one compulsory form. Two very different pairs have already been used against it:
- Snow Fairy + Cyclops: control and safer movement paired with close-range impact.
- Harpy + Werewolf: aerial control paired with aggressive ground pressure.
Treat those as starting points, not a tier list. The Style Eat guide explains how to give Davy’s two stored forms different jobs.
How should you prepare?
Gravity control is the mechanic to watch. Enter with a form or Body Hack part that can change position without relying on a slow ground approach.
Keep these questions in mind during the first attempt:
- Which animation starts the gravity attack?
- Does it pull, pin or change the arena around Davy?
- Is the recovery long enough for a heavy Style to punish?
- Can an airborne form stay active while the ground becomes unsafe?
The combat guide covers the game’s parry-led defense. For equipment choices, see Body Hack and OT Gear.
Is Afreet in the free demo?
Yes. GPTRACK50’s First Bite announcement names Afreet and Wyvern as the two bosses players can encounter. The demo covers roughly two hours and allows save transfer. Download links are in the First Bite guide.
Current status: HP, weaknesses, phase changes and rewards are not published yet. This preview will become a full fight guide after repeatable demo testing.
